This isn’t a story about a tree. This isn’t a story about a region, a border or a country. This is a story about humans. About friendship. About liberty and neighborhood. This is a story about peace. And if these are the values we as Europeans fight for and stand for together, then let it be a story about Europe.

Toto není příběh stromu. Není to ani příběh o kraji, hranici nebo zemi. Upřímně řečeno, není to v první řadě ani evropský příběh. Je to příběh o lidech. O přátelství. O spojenectví a sousedství. Je to příběh o míru. A pokud jsou toto hodnoty, za kterými si jako Evropané stojíme a za které společně bojujeme, pak je to i příběh o Evropě.
